How the
Whistle Stop Works
- Effective for all sizes
and breeds of dogs.
- When your dog pulls on
the lead, a non-electric whistling tone is emitted from the
Whistle Stop. This sound has been scientifically tuned to be
of a pitch extremely effective to dogs.
- The whistling tone is
sensitive to a dog's ear.
- In conjunction with a
command such as 'Heel', your dog quickly learns to walk
calmly beside you.
- Tugging sharply on the
lead also operates the device, and again, can be used to
correct other form of anti-social behaviour in your dog if
used in conjunction with an appropriate command.
Adjusting
the tone of the Whistle Stop
- Remove
the ring from the Whistle Stop.
- Insert
the key attached to the packaging into the pipe.
- Turn
the key clockwise for a higher tone; anti-clockwise for a
lower tone.
- Higher
tones are more suitable for smaller dogs.
For best
results
- Use as
a training aid on a one to one basis with your dog.
- Make
sure you use a command so that then the dog relates the
Whistle Stop sound with bad behaviour.
- The dog
will soon respond to only the command.
- If your
dog does not appear to be learning, adjust the tone of the
Whistle Stop as instructed above and recommence the sequence
of training.
- When
your dog has learned to walk calmly, remove the Whistle Stop
from between the lead and collar.
- Repeat
use of the Whistle Stop every 6-10 weeks for 2-3 days to
reinforce the training.
Cleaning
- Rise
the Whistle Stop using clean water and wipe with a damp
cloth.
